Information We Collect
Information you give us directly: your name, email address and, where you choose to share it, your phone number, when you create an account, send a message through the contact form, ask about a part, or leave a comment on the blog.
Information collected automatically: basic technical details such as your browser and device type, the pages you visit, and the language you browse the site in, so the site keeps working correctly and securely.
Account information: if you sign up, we store your name, email address, a securely hashed password, your preferred language and, if you leave comments, the comments linked to your account.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- answer your questions about parts, orders and the company, and follow up on messages sent through the contact form
- create and manage your account, including signing you in and resetting your password
- show and moderate comments on blog posts
- send you service emails, such as confirming your email address, password reset links, and replies to your messages
- handle the support tickets you open from your account: we keep your messages, the topic and part number you give, and the photos you attach (made smaller and saved without hidden details such as the place a photo was taken), visible only to you and our support team, until the ticket is deleted
- answer you in the live chat: we keep the messages you send, the name and email address you choose to give, your language and the page you started the chat on, so our support team can reply, and email you a reply if you have left the site
- send news about new parts and catalog updates, only if you subscribed to our newsletter in the footer (we keep only your email address and language, and remove you from the list whenever you ask)
- keep the website secure, prevent abuse, and understand how the site is used so we can improve it
Cookies and Local Storage
We use a small number of cookies and browser storage entries that are needed for the site to work: one to remember your language choice, one to keep you signed in after you log in, one to keep your live chat on this device if you start one, and one saved in your browser (not a cookie) to remember your light or dark mode preference.
We do not currently use cookies for advertising or third-party analytics. If this changes in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required by law.
